Never Miss a Contract Renewal Again with The Education Marketplace

Produced by The Education Marketplace

Renewal notifications

Managing school contracts can be time-consuming — especially when renewal dates creep up unexpectedly. Automatic renewals can easily slip through unnoticed, leaving schools tied into contracts without the opportunity to review pricing, compare alternatives, or assess whether the service is still delivering value.

That's why we've introduced Renewal Notification Settings within The Education Marketplace — helping schools stay ahead of key contract dates and make more informed procurement decisions.

How Renewal Notifications Work

When uploading or updating a contract within TEM, you'll now see a section called Renewal Notification Settings. By default, notifications are switched on — we'll automatically remind you before your contract is due to renew. Prefer not to receive reminders? Simply tick the box to opt out.

You can also choose how far in advance you'd like to be notified:

30 days before renewal 60 days before renewal A custom timeframe

This gives you greater flexibility and ensures procurement timelines work around your internal approval processes and budgeting cycles.

What Happens When a Contract Is Nearing Renewal?

As your renewal date approaches, The Education Marketplace will help you proactively review your options. You'll receive:

Email Reminders

A notification will be sent directly to your inbox so important renewal dates don't get missed.

Alternative Supplier Suggestions

We'll highlight relevant providers available through TEM, helping you quickly compare services, pricing, and value.

Request Supplier Contact

Want more information before renewing? You'll be able to request further details or conversations with suppliers to explore alternatives.

Dashboard Notifications

You'll also receive alerts directly within your TEM dashboard via the notification bell icon.

Why This Matters for Schools

School leaders and business managers are under increasing pressure to demonstrate value for money and ensure procurement decisions are strategic, transparent, and cost-effective.

Renewal notifications help schools

  • Avoid unwanted automatic renewals
  • Stay organised with contract management
  • Benchmark suppliers before recommitting
  • Improve procurement planning
  • Identify potential savings opportunities

Most importantly, it gives schools more time to make informed decisions — rather than rushed ones.

A Smarter Approach to Procurement

At The Education Marketplace, we want to make procurement simpler, more transparent, and more proactive for schools. Renewal notifications are just one of the ways we're helping schools stay in control of contracts, reduce procurement admin, and make confident purchasing decisions.

If you have any questions or would like support managing your contracts within TEM, our team is always happy to help.
