About Everybody Reads
Everybody Reads is an AI-powered personalised reading platform designed for primary and early secondary learners. It generates fiction and non-fiction texts calibrated to individual reading age bands, with comprehension assessed through the VIPERS framework (Vocabulary, Inference, Prediction, Explain, Retrieve, Sequence/Summarise). Every text is differentiated automatically, meaning teachers can support a full mixed-ability class without preparing multiple resources. The platform uses artificial intelligence to match reading content to each pupil's level, generating original stories and non-fiction passages across a wide range of genres, topics, and cultural contexts. Comprehension questions are mapped directly to VIPERS skills, giving teachers structured, assessable data on pupil progress across all six question types. Everybody Reads supports reading age differentiation from early KS1 through to KS3, and is aligned to CEFR levels A1 through B2, making it suitable for EAL learners and international school settings alongside mainstream UK classrooms. The platform also maps to Lexile reading bands, supporting schools that use standardised reading assessments. Developed in partnership with the University of Strathclyde. Key features include: VIPERS-aligned comprehension questions, AI-generated fiction and non-fiction at differentiated reading levels, real-time teacher tracking dashboards, safe and age-appropriate content generation, and zero preparation time for class-ready reading activities.
